Film Mentors: Programming: Narrative - Lane Kneedler
Lane Kneedler received his degree in Film from the University of Colorado. There he studied under many influential experimental filmmakers including Stan Brakhage and Phil Solomon. In 2000 he began working for the Sundance Film Festival. Working within the organization he became a programming consultant for the Sundance Film Festival and a consultant for the Sundance Screenwriters and Filmmakers labs. Other festivals Lane has worked with and consulted for include the Cinevegas Film Festival, and the Los Angeles Film Festival. In past years Lane served on the documentary jury for HBO's Comedy Arts Festival, the Northwest Film Forum and the Dallas Film Festival among others. Since 2005 Lane has worked programming AFI FEST and is currently that festival’s Associate Director of Programming.
