Film Mentors: Legal - Annie Lin
Annie Lin is a San Francisco-based attorney who works at the intersection of entertainment, media and technology. Since 2010, Annie has been practicing with Brave Noise Legal, providing legal and entertainment counsel to enterprises and creators in music, film, advertising and mobile/interactive media.
As production counsel and music supervisor for film and television, Annie’s credits range from narrative features to documentary films, including recent titles "Rising From Ashes", "Marwencol", "Copyright Criminals", "Jack and Diane" and "Cartoon College." Prior to moving to Bay Area, Annie helped launch the licensing division of The Orchard, a digital distributor of music and film. As director of creative licensing, she was instrumental in building the company’s creative licensing ventures and establishing the business as a major player in the synchronization licensing space. Her music placements can be seen in numerous films, television shows, advertisements and interactive media projects, for brand properties such as Target, British Airways, Lexus and Crayola, and programs including “The Wire”, “Dexter” and “CSI:Miami”.
Annie collects 78's and is a co-founder of the San Francisco Mixtape Society.
